Silvertown training & employment
EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING
IN ITS INDUSTRIAL PAST, SILVERTOWN WAS A PLACE OF ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT AND OPPORTUNITY.

Now, those days are finally returning. Purposeful investment is opening doors for local talent in the borough.

All our partners in the supply chain offer the real Living Wage and support our socioeconomic aspirations – from doing their bit to engage local schools to providing volunteering support to our community partners and supporting local people into sustainable careers.

Approximately 10,000 new jobs targeted will be created during development. And we’re committed to maximising job opportunities once work is complete too.

Alongside Our Newham Work, TSP will help residents apply for training, employment and tender openings, while Lendlease is working with Newham’s Community Wealth Building programme to ensure investment leads to real employment opportunities in the area.

EMPLOYMENT

It is estimated that approximately 10,000 new jobs will be created during development. These will primarily be clustered in the Mills Quarter and Silverworks districts. Made up of workshops, studios, flexible workspaces and retail opportunities – and located closer to transport links for easier commutes – these communities will share amenities to nurture collaboration and innovation.
